The utilization of surplus heat project of Sinopec Group Jinling Branch
Project Background
Sinopec Jinling Branch is a highly modernized, extra-large national petrochemical enterprise mainly engaged in oil refining and the production and sales of petrochemical products. In the alkylbenzene production process, the circulating alkane material needs to be cooled, while the plant's gas desulfurization process requires steam for heating.
Technical Solution
After repeated evaluation, Beijing Keyuan Ruineng Energy-saving Equipment Co., Ltd.'s type-II heat pump technology was adopted: the waste heat of the alkane material is used to generate steam for the desulfurization process, replacing fresh steam with waste heat.
Key Parameters
| Item | Parameter |
|---|---|
| Steam generation | 8 t/h, 0.37 MPa(G) |
| Waste heat source | Alkane material cooled from 127°C to 86–90°C, returning to the cooling equipment; flow rate 390 m³/h |
| Steam usage | Heating for the gas desulfurization process |
Project Results
After commissioning, the project saves about 60,000 tons of steam and approximately RMB 12 million per year, providing an exemplary demonstration for petrochemical enterprises.
